Delusions: or watchamacall-em'

The unreflected life is not worth living (Socrates)--The unlived life is not worth reflecting upon (Buddhist) No man is happy without a delusion of some kind. Delusions are as necessary to our happiness as realities. – Christian nevell bovee-

Putrajaya day trip

Hosted by Photobucket.com
Alamanda, prob. the only shopping mall in Putrajaya.

Putrajaya prides itself on it's bridges...2 of em' are shown here. At such close vicinity, one might wonder the need for these links. Merely to boast architectural brilliance i'd say,... & waste of public funds? You be the judge.

Ah, finally =)

Nice shots! Love the one with the observatory. Is it some tourist tower or something?

It ain't all bright and lovely though..

All the govt buildings there are on rent. Health ministry's paying something like RM2.5 mil a month for rent to Putrajaya Holdings. That's only one ministry, and not including utility bills. Putrajaya hospital itself is running on a RM150k per-month electricity bill. Try guess who's paying the bills?

Will we still have the money to maintain the infrastructure there, 20 years down the road? It ain't gonna develop much commercially either. At least not while they have policies such as 60 percent housing reserved for govt servants, the remainder for public, and on top of that, still subject to bumi quota. Plus, you can't rear dogs, cos they don't allow fences on residential grounds.

aiks.. sorry for blogging here =P

Man the dragon dance shot is really good! Try submitting it for a photography contest or something!

Loved the colours, the angle, and espeacially the "captured" motion!!! Nice... If only I can take a pic like that! Lol.

My, my, I never realised your prowess in the arts. Now that I've seen it, I'm truly impressed. The photos as wonderfully done. the shots are well taken, and the angles were perfect. One of these days we should have a nice chat over the greater arts :)
Good luck and good health

Markus: So that explains the oh-so-short picket fences & driveways spotted at the houses. Was surprised at such western influence in the area. Security must be tight. Thnx for the info.

Thom: Really? Didn't think much of it. Was quite a random shot. Gee, thnx. U give me too much credit lar.

Pou Wee: Thanks! Wow, really encouraged by everyone's comment. The greater arts, akin to Jacques Sanuiere+Robert Langdon having a chat? uh heh, too much Da Vinci Code these days.
